Fire and Ice by Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

I love Robert Frost, and this poem specifically is my favorite of his. I also thought it was appropriate due to the weather lately.

  1. This is a favorite poem of mine too! I remember reading it for the first time in middle school. The way he plays with words and creates such a "short and sweet" (CLICHE) poem is genius. I especially love the last five lines. Also, another poem that is a fantastic read is The Road Not Taken.
I do agree that it matches the unpredictability weather. Be prepared for more snowstorms.
